Browny’s Tips – Wimbledon Day 2

Safe Bets

Vasek Pospisil @ $1.20 – Quarter-finalist from last year. Grass suits his game and he shouldn’t have too much trouble against Albert Ramos-Viñolas from Spain.

Feliciano López @ $1.17 – Should defeat Rajeev Ram, particularly on this surface.

Petra Kvitová @ $1.22 – Kvitová, twice a Wimbledon champion, shouldn’t have too much trouble against Sorana Cîrstea at her favourite grand slam.

Ekaterina Makarova @ $1.12 – Plays Johanna Larsson who has never won a match at Wimbledon in 5 attempts. Makarova should win this one.

Worth a Punt

Albert Montañés @ $7.00 – I think his opponent John Millman should win this but Montañés’ odds are extremely generous at $7. So much so that it’s worth a small wager I believe.

Dmitry Tursunov @ $2.97 – Tursunov is more comfortable on faster courts and his opponent João Sousa has never progressed past the first round at Wimbledon. Despite his current ranking I think Tursunov has a 50/50 chance in this one.

Facundo Bagnis @ $9.50 – Whilst Benjamin Becker is the better grass-court player, his odds of $1.04 are far too short in this match. Bagnis is also the higher ranked player out of the two. Definitely worth a small wager at $9.50.

Roberta Vinci @ $2.92 – Vinci is the 7th seed at Wimbledon and I’m very surprised that the bookies have her opponent Alison Riske as favourite. Vinci is ranked 7 and Riske is ranked 80. Value for Vinci here.
